ART Jewelry, because of its intimate relationship to the physical and cultured body, is perfectly placed to explore the nature of our existence. Janet Miller with her passionate and daring elegance is constantly challenging established concepts of jewelry design and conventional notions of what is precious through story telling. Developing her own personal dialogue with the world, her lurid and opulent style of electrifying dreams and ethereal nightmares; starkly enchanting in its sensitive yet stark composition of opposites; the multi-disciplinary work of Janet is creating poetry for the body.

Janet Miller was born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick and graduated with First Degree Honors from the University of New Brunswick. She received her Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree, an inter-disciplinary program between the University of New Brunswick (where she studied philosophy, psychology, religious studies, and fine arts), and the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (where she specialized in jewelry design).  Janet is currently working from her design studio in the heart of Old Montreal.
